Coffee Hours

The GSC coffee hours have historically been held every Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 during the winter and spring quarters. If the budget permits and the interest is sufficient, they could be offered fall quarter as well. They are usually held on the EBU I 3rd floor balcony at the end of the 3300 hallway. There is an overhang that provides some shelter on rainy days, but this is not the best venue if the weather is windy.

For winter and spring 2001, the STAR lab (Professor Seigel's group) volunteered to head up the weekly Coffee hours. The lab would rotate the responsibility amongst themselves and solicit other volunteers from the general graduate student population. Henry Phister has provided a website (INSERT LINK HERE!!!) with information on how to host a coffee hour. These weekly get-togethers are very popular and well attended.
