Holiday Party Entertainment -- MEeBrandon Zeidler, Fall 2002 Fellow Grad StudentsDo you possess any "unusual" musical talents? (e.g. beat-boxing) Do you own any instrument that is banned from a regular orchestra? (e.g. bagpipes) Does their sound make your neighbors cringe in terror? Then you belong in the MaXimuM EntRopY eNsEmBLe!!! (MEe) This is your chance to showcase your unique "talent" and get in for free to the annual ECE Holiday party and talent show! If you have never been, you really owe it to yourself to check it out this year. Rife with scrumptuous vittles and hijinx hilarity, the ECE holiday party never dissapoints. You have not truly lived until you witness Dr. Tu and Joni Carletta sing a duet of "I've Got You Babe" -- dressed head to toe as Sonny and Cher! In years past, Grad students have been eligible for either free or extremely discounted admission ($5) if they participate in the talent show. Otherwise, the cost is usually $10-$15. This year's prices should be similar. This year, the MaXimUM EntRopY eNsEmBLe (MEe) will present "Music To Annoy Your Neighbors", a concerto of several movements (impromptu jam session) featuring the 'exotic' sounds of the Didgeridoo, Jaw Harp, and Accordion. We are looking for a few more unusual instruments (and musicians) to round out the mix! Does any one out there have instruments such as...
Or even...
etc... Since ENTROPY is the name of the game, musical ability is irrelevant. However, entropy can only be maximized with maximal participation, so come join MEe!! For more information, come to the Grad Student Council meeting next monday, November 25th at Noon in the Grad Lounge. |
